Words to Live By

I haven't watched too much of this current season of Survivor . . . but I did catch a little of this last week's episode. One of the contestants, Yau-man, said that he lived his life by this mantra, which I really thought was good.

Love Many,
Trust Few,
Do Harm to None

Hum.....yes.....lets ponder that mantra!

My mom always said her favorite verse of the Bible was Romans 3:4
Let God be found true, though every man be found a liar as it is written. This is an older translation....but I always felt it was kindof a downer....to be a life verse...(this was her life after the divorce with my dad though).....
and she found that men lie (not just men, but people in general)but God is the ONLY ONE WHO DOES NOT!

SO it is as I get older that I see that we need Gods help to love, that there are very few that we can really trust with our deepest feelings and heart, and that we should nevertheless try not to hurt others! I agree very much with that mantra!

Cool!

It never ceases to amaze me . . . the depravity of people's hearts and minds. Unfortunately, the only reason I know that people are depraved is because I know my own heart. It is such a battle everyday against selfishness, pride and greed to try to be a decent human being.

Yeah, me too, I think my 30's is all about discovering what it is to love unconditionally! (that includes to love myself inspite of all the baggage!)

Tough stuff!.....but I think I can....I think I can......Smile
