Truth . . .

Deep Thought - The truth always lies somewhere in the middle.

Agree? Disagree? Discuss . . .

Pet Peeves

New Category . . . Pet Peeves.

Pet Peeve #1 - Tangled phone cords.

Pet Peeve #2 - Telemarketers.

Major Pet Peeve - Talking on the phone with my neck in an uncomfortable position due to a tangled phone cord.

btw . . . is that how you spell Peeve? That is a funny word . . . I sense a new category. :-)

If I had One Hundred BILLION Dollars . . .

Wow . . . I'm not overly political, but this just makes me cringe.

That's about all I have to say about that . . .

ADD

I am beginning to think that I have ADD. I literally can't focus on one thought for more than a minute or two. Right now, I have 8 browser windows open all about different things. My brain bounces between thoughts faster than I can even keep up with. Just in writing that sentence, I switched windows 4 times to check on other thoughts. I think that is why I enjoy writing and blogging, because it forces me to focus on one area for a little bit.

I would never take medication for something like this. I am very anti-prescription drugs. But I do believe that I need to do some hard work to discipline my brain to work right. I really struggle with procrastination too.

Oh well, I will work on that later . . . I have 8 other things I want to think about right now! LOL.

Green Tea

I have found my new favorite beverage that is finally going to allow me to kick my pop/soda/cola (whatever you call it there) habit ... green tea!

I love this stuff! I have been drinking three cups a day for about 3 weeks now and I feel great! I have always struggled with hypoglycemia and blood sugar spikes and crashes from sugar and caffeine, and green tea has really helped even things out for me. I read that the caffeine is about 1/3 of what you would get in a cup of coffee and even less than pop, and it is released much more evenly so there are no spikes and crashes. There are many health benefits to green tea, making it one of the healthiest drinks you can enjoy.

I am just now beginning to learn about its amazing history and culture, but I do know that green tea will and has already changed my life for the better. I haven't had a sip of pop in weeks (except for an occasional Hansens . . . and look what they have now!!) and I feel great! All the other times that I have tried to kick the pop habit, I have had to suffer through headaches and that "blah" feeling for a while.

So far, I have only tried Yogi Green Tea Energy, Yogi Green Tea Rejuvenation, Stash Organic, and now Tazo (China Green Tips), which is my favorite so far. I haven't tried any looseleaf varieties yet, but I am looking forward to getting into that as well. First, I have to shop for a teaset (does that sound like a pansy? I don't care . . . it's that good!).

Care for a cup of tea?

Update: Want a KitKat (Matcha) with that?

If you don't know . . . my wife is a budding professional photographer. She has been taking classes for months and practicing whenever possible. She has interests in photojournalism, sports photography and portraiture. I have never seen her so passionate and excited about anything (except me of course!). She took a wedding photography course with an instructor who charges $40,000 for a wedding shoot and $400/hour for consultations, and he had rave reviews of her photos and provided her with a lead for her first wedding shoot in March.

She is about to embark on an exciting adventure of starting her own wedding and portrait photography business. Please click here to check out her work at her photoblog!

If you know of anyone in the Denver area in need of a wedding photographer . . . let me know!
